Where Fabric Becomes Form, and Form Becomes Story.

The Ovis Collection

A series of high-texture relief sculptures which celebrates the raw beauty of the Cotswold landscape through its most unique residents. Each piece is unique but features the distinct, springy corkscrew curls of Valais Blacknose sheep, hand-shorn and preserved in its natural ivory hue.  The organic, cloud-like volume of the fiber spills over a structural wooden canvas, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow that shifts throughout the day.

Out of Place

A transformation of flat familiar fabrics into a 3D tactile landscape.  The "Out of Place" series explores the vulnerability of change and new beginnings.  Shedding perceptions and expectations and finds strength in a grounded awareness of ones own resilience.

Shapes and textures contrast and compliment allowing the art work to use depth and shadows to shift perspectives depending on where the viewer stands.

Each piece allows for individual interpretation.

The Philosophy

I transform the humble textile into a multi-dimensional sculpture. My work explores the intersection of organic craft and minimalist form, creating pieces that breathe with the quiet poetry of the material itself.

Fabric Becomes Form-

The transformational journey as material is shaped, stretched, layered and sculpted into dimensional presence.

Form Becomes Story-

Whereby the form transcends it’s shape and the art begins to communicate.
